Where to have fika in Lund?*

Visiting a city in Sweden isn’t a complete experience without having the famous Swedish coffee break better known as fika. Where the best places to have it in Lund? Here is the list:

Located in Klostergatan 1, at the very corner of Lund’s cathedral, this café is famous for its manual roaster and hipster culture. With 17 years experience of stellar coffees, Love Coffee Roasters is indeed a great place for a great fika.

Opening hours:

Monday – Friday : 8.00 – 18.00
Saturday :10.00 – 17.00
Sunday : 11.00 – 16.00

2. Broder Jakobs

Also located in Klostergatan, only few minutes walk from Lund Central Station, this fika place has one of the best bakeries in town. It uses the same premise with its predecessor S:t Jakobs Stenugnsbageri before the café was closed down in late 2017.

Monday – Saturday : 7.00 – 19.00

Sunday : 9.00 – 16.00

3. Coffee Break

This café has gluten free options for you who have diet or allergy, and is conveniently located at Sankt Petri Kyrkogata 3, just a stone throw away from Lund’s state library.

Previously known as Café Mondo, this café is located right in the corner of Kyrkogatan.

5. Espresso House (Lund C)

Craving for fika after 7 pm? No worries. This chain coffee shop opens till late.

6. Mormor’s Bageri (Knut Den Stores Torg 1)

7. Inkognito

“Pretend it’s early 90’s,” they said. No wifi, just fika!

9. Werner’s Backhaus Café

img_7994The newest coffee shop in town, which serves flavoured coffees and assorted fikabröd range from kanelbulle (cinnamon bun) and semla to apple strudel and Budapest cake.

Saturday : 9.00 – 16.00

Sunday : 10.00 – 15.00

10. Barista (Bangatan)

Another chain coffee shop in Lund. 100% Eco friendly. 100% Fairtrade.

Opening Hours

Monday – Friday : 6.00 – 19.00

Saturday : 7.00 – 18.00

Sunday : 8.00 – 18.00

With such plenty options, you will never running out of idea where to have fika in Lund.
